my dad and my friend are battling it out on polished vs satin right now, lol so it looks like i may be getting polished,

However is it just me or has anyone noticed that aside from the differences of finish, that there seems to be other physical differences in thickness of guard and stuff like that?

Also i think the picture may be deceiving if you look closely though you can definitely see how shiny the blade of polished is compared to satin.

Well i emailed them right before glamdring was available and they said they have no decided yet on what the edition size would be. This leads me to assume that they base the edition size on how many will be claimed by the previous buyers. so i would say their goal is to allow at least 5 swords avail...

...uh? you do know that i bought a Weta glamdring sharpened right? i was just giving a possible reason as to why some people may prefer them unsharpened. another reason is that it is easier to clean.

well personally i would go for middle earth accurate. its just a shame that scabbards are so e xp ensive for these swords, sharpening becomes dangerous without a scabbard. so plan on keeping that thing locked up if you cant cover it : /

well weathered is not an option with Anduril, if that is what you were thinking. Now as for Glamdring, it makes me wonder if it originally was mirror or satin polished, since the weathered finish, i think, would remove evidences of either.
