I think it looks pretty good. I would also give a look into the aforementioned suggestions. Maybe something with a slightly smaller diameter. As for the silver highlights, a bit of controlled dusting may work well. You also might want to do something tedious, but more controlled, like using a size 0...

Are we all agreed that the gentle wiping of the blade, therefore removing the light coating of oil residue, is a harmless thing? (I do plan to apply proper oil to.. do whatever that does in the near future)

Does MC Sam's need it? The blade is different.. It still needs it, though, right?

I've seen a cutaway where, yes, it went all the way through to the pommel. I believe there is a thread around here that features some pictures. But I could be wrong..

UC tang?

Not sure if there's a list anywhere but if so, I haven't found it. Does anyone know about which of the UC LotR swords are full tang and which are not? Like, is there a compiled list? I know a few but I was just curious. Much obliged.

I haven't seen the bearded for less but you're right, that's the average range. I love the look but I haven't loosened my grip on my wallet enough to dole out the extra cash. Your work on Herugrim and the Witchking's sword is incredible! (my favorites of your work) I'm especially impressed by the latter, very nice distressing and aging.

I just purchased the Sword of Sam MC and Herugrim! Whoa boy am I excited!

I must credit my newfound interest in Herugrim to the threads here that raved about the sword. I can hardly wait to have it in hand.

What do you guys think about Gimli's Battle axe vs. the Walking Axe? The battle axe is, of course, most featured in the movies (or so I'd imagine) and that makes it more recognizable.
