Re: Peter's Sword Chronicles of Narnia

Hope this helps - first website i came across with the original licensed stats: http://www.iloveswords.com/MOV_peters_sword.html I used to sell this sword in the store i worked at years ago. If i remember correctly, it had a "Made in India" sticker on the blade (?) - so wouldn't surprise m...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!
Just opened my Azog Mace , got it a few days ago . I hope this is the same quality we can e xp ect with Sauron's Mace . It is unbelievable how nice this thing is ! ! I ended up paying $238 for it delivered . Not as good as the old discount at BudK , but be...

Re: Be at Peace, Dear Bailey

I'm very sorry to hear that Buckeye...
I still miss my 2 dogs (Brutus & Caesar) that i lost a long time ago. But the years i did have them, are filled with nothing but good memories. It does get easier over time... But still, very, very sorry about your loss.

Re: The Hobbit by Noble Collection

Both very good suggestions - and i'm still not sure what to do... Good news - using my textbook as weight on the outer part of the curved section is working! Already seeing results after just a couple of days. Bad news - i think it was too much, too fast. The top joining piece is slightly wobbly. Lu...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!

Kult of Athena has been my go-to online retailer for 7 or 8 years now. Great prices, shipping rates, honest, and knowledgeable staff. Always been a great source when you need something right away. However, lately i've been using EBay more - waiting for good deals with suppliers who ship to Canada...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!
I think interest in many of the dwarven weapons pretty much fizzled out, which may be one of the reasons we only got the Fili and Kili swords and nothing else. That and none of them got a lot of screen time. Noble took care of Deathless, and with Weta jumping ...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!

Definitely sign me up for Sauron's mace! And Boromir's sword! Kit, I was wondering what the odds were that UC will make / remake: 1) Gimli's walking axe..if i remember correctly, there was some talk about it a while ago since it's used in "The Hobbit" by Gloin, and there were requests for ...

Re: New Weta everywhere you look!
If I acquired and displayed everthing LOTR that I desire I'd have to convert the whole house to an LOTR museum. (hmmmm....maybe, maybe ........ ;) )
How much will admission be to view this LOTR museum? ;) I finally had a chance to see some of the SDCC We...

Re: "Highlander" and Point Gallery

Thanks everyone! Yup, i was smiling all day (while my VISA card went hiding after the last 2 purchases lol). To be honest, now that i've had time to fully inspect the sword - there are a few minor issues with it. I just emailed them to see what is an actual issue versus what is just a variance in an...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!
By the way, for the person who was asking about Azog's mace: most reviews seem very positive. I've seen some photos of the Mace as well and the details look really great. I honestly thought that the shaft was made from wood, leather and rope.
Thanks Lind...

Re: Sword Collection Diversification

Good luck on the hunt Lindir, keep at it! A few years ago i came across 2 swords on my "must have" list, been looking for a reasonable price for over 10 years... Unfortunately both sold just hours before i sent an email to the store. 2 different swords, 2 different retailers, within 2 mont...

Re: Asmus Toys
Isn't Weta selling its figures starting around $250? These seem a better bang for the buck.
True, Weta's are around the $250 range..but for a hand painted statue. But when Sideshow did the 12'' action figures - they were between $70 and $100. (roughly...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!
Man, that is the truth. I wish there was at least one normal sword the The Hobbit that could be constructed as a traditional sword would be constructed, using United's regular factory. Don't get me wrong, I love most of the designs, but I think Bard's sword i...

Re: Asmus Toys

Thanks for the headsup! I remember when this line was announced...and completely forgot about it lol. Their products look awesome, no question. Only thing stopping me is the price tag... $150 to $200 per figure... This is my 'go to' site for reviews. They already have the Morgul Lord figure: http://...

Re: Sword Collection Diversification

My pleasure! Forgive the complete randomness of that list though lol. I should have some free time next weekend - and shall edit that list into categories...if that might help :)
That sword looks really interesting Jash :) have you got any other Darksword Armour...

Re: United Cutlery's - The Hobbit - Movie Props!
I would have been ok with a few more dwarven weapons and e xp ressed my disappointment before that UC did not make Balin's mace or Dwalin's hammer, as well as Deathless and Thorin's axe. Kit did e xp lain though that those weapons were barely glimpsed and that...

Re: Sword Collection Diversification

I like the look of that dagger! This caught my eye recently. Currently my all time favourite offering from Darksword - a great mix of inspiration between "Game of Thrones" and Norse Mythology. Oh..and the pre-order price is $100 off... soooo tempted... http://darksword-armory.com/products-...
