I also like this sword, and think it would look good in the Gondor collection.
I think one reason it's so elaborately decorated, is because it's more ceremonial than anything else.

At last I´ve found a thread with denethors sword... I´ve been searching for some time now, for kindred spirits...
To me this is one of the most beautiful swords I´ve ever encountered ( and believe me, I´ve seen a lot of swords...)
If UC decides to make this, whatever the cost, I´d find the money to buy it...

Just imagine it being made MC.......... *Homer: " MMmmmmm, mmmmmccccccc......."

I´ve watched the dvd many times, and I always pause when its on screen... ( sad that its just so little screen time...)

Well... I don´t wanna be another Grima, so I won´t make a petition of it :p ... but know this, if its ever to be made, I´d be the first to buy it...

I think you´re right, however the designs of the sword itself is kinda universal, it looks as if it could´ve belonged to a medieval king or something, and my guess is, if they would make the sword, people might buy it for its looks rather than having a replica from LOTR...

However, since I know that it is a sword from LOTR, my opinion in this matter is biased....
