Thinking About Archery

1
More recently, I've had thoughts about purchasing a bow and possibly a few arrows :)

I decided that it was difficult to do any of swordsmanship without a parter or two and that archery is something that can be done individually. I borrowed a friends bow for quite a while and just as I got the hang of it, I had to return it.

Are there archers out there who know a great or a little information about bows and manufactorers. I'm interested in a tradition bow, none of the compound stuff.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

i've been interesting in archery for a while, especially traditional longbow (compound bow is cheating :) ) but never got into to it, I wanted one of the bows inspired by LOTR, but they are a couple, few hundred dollars, and i dont have that kind of money. maybe when i get finished with school or something or when i get a job and have spare money, this looks to be an interesting hobby. not to mention not everyone can say they can shoot a traditional longbow.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
