My Lothlorien bow

1
I purchased a Lothlorien bow from Justin @ Bowstick and decided to try my hand at sculpting the designs on the bow. He was kind enough to address the needs I had for the bow (I wanted it as close in shape as the real thing so I wasn't concerned with functionality, because I wanted it for display only.) It took me over 3 weeks, but I'm finally done & pretty happy with the results. I also purchased some elven arrows from him too. I was lucky to find the licensed peacock quiver on that auction site a couple of months ago for a very good price.
Sorry for the crappy pictures but it was the best I could do. :embarasse

I have a question: in the movie, the Lorien bow looks all one-colour, where basically the raised leaf designs are golden like the rest of the bow itself, and have a lacquered sheen to them. Is there a reason the Bowstick version has them in white? Is this due to licensing reasons? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Could someone please paste a clear photo of the movie prop if they have one? I have the Weapons and Warfare book, but the two pictures of the Lorien bow in there are not the greatest, though they do seem to bear out what I am saying.

Thanks everyone. :)

Valkrist, here are some pictures of the prop:

The bow was shipped without anything on it. (It is a non functional bow, meant to display only.) The apoxie is white, so that's why the designs are white. I could paint it if I wanted to, but right now I like it just the way it is. Plus I'm not quite sure if I want to risk changing what I've already done if painting it doesn't work out.

I do have the daggers too, just didn't feel like getting them out at the time. :)
