This is very, very sad. Andrew Lesnie, who was Peter Jackson's cinematographer on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit , died today. He was only 59.

As I'm someone who watched the LOTR EE extras religiously, and I'm now doing so with the Hobbit, I was very aware of Andrew Lesnie and his great sense of humour on set shown in those extras and I'm also a great fan of his work on those movies. Such a shame he's gone... Rest in peace.
