You all know that BC is in the crosshairs of Laura, right?
He lives in Nederland TX . Look at a map.
Surge is supposed to be pretty bad all along that strip of coast reaching as far as 30 miles inland.
I hope he got out OK or is safe sheltering somewhere

Not that it makes it any better, but he's been through this so many times that I'm confident he's taken all the necessary measures needed to stay safe.

Fingers crossed he pops up in a day or two to let us know he's ok.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm ok!
Thanks for the concern Deimos!

I evacuated to Dallas, about 5 hours north and was away from home for 5 days. Spent all day Monday cleaning up and returned to work today.
Luckily for my town, Laura made a last minute turn before landfall, which was great for us, but horrible for Louisiana

I thought Delta missed you (sort of) ....it was farther east....smacked New Orleans and environs.
Although I guess you still got plenty of rain. (Send some my way please...SW is in severe drought right now)
Did you have to evacuate again?

Hurricane season lasts through, what , mid November? Those Gulf waters are still plenty warm. :-p

It was further east, but because, you know, this year the western part of the storm was bad, usually the left side is the "good side" there was a 90 mph wind gust not far from my house. Now I'm sitting in my nice warm house with no AC.

Hurricane season is june 1 to November 30
