The Scottish actor, best known as the lovable Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, has left us far too soon at 72.

I just saw that.
I didn't watch the 20th anniversary special, but when I told my wife the news just now (she's a huge Potter fan), she remarked on how he already didn't look well at all when that was filmed. So sad...

Your wife speaks the truth. IIRC he may even have been in a wheelchair. I certainly don’t recall him standing. I think he has trouble with arthritis.
It seems like there have been so many deaths lately. On a personal level, I lost two aunts within weeks of each other. Celebrity-wise, Angela Lansbury died just the other day. And of course most notably, Queen Elizabeth died last month, the end of a chapter of history. What an inspiring life, and what a moving farewell from her people.
