Gentle Giant LTD

Anyone collect from this company? I think I remember hearing about them a long time ago, but never really gave them much thought. The One Ring.net posted on their facebook page this item:

I went to their site and they have a few interesting Hobbit Busts and some Marvel and Star Wars stuff.

I actually like the look of that bust. I don't know if it's intentional, but all their busts from the Hobbit look kinda "cartoony" at least to me anyways.

I used to collect a lot of Gentle Giant busts, Star Wars, Matrix and Terminator. It just seems there quality has gone down hill a bit. There supposed to be laser scanned directly from the actor and printed, but the likeness isn't there any more.

This is a good looking bust for a decent price imo.

I don't like them, mainly because I find the whole half-body concept rather strange. I understand a true bust and a full statue, but what's the point of a sculpure that is there only from the waist down? Not sure why these are called busts since the standard definition implies no arms and only a portion of the chest.

I do collect lots of gentle giant pieces I posted pics of some I have from lotr, and the hobbit I think in the report your latest thread I also have a few of their marvel and sw pieces as well
