Re: museum replicas strider coat

Rick, congratulations on a good find, and scoring such a great price. I had looked at their web site a short while ago and couldn't find one.

I'm currently putting together a Strider outfit for a LOTR themed get together this September in Kentucky (USA), " A Long E xp ected Party",
( http://www.alonge%20xp%20ectedparty.org ). Since I couldn't find this item then, I checked with the folks from kropserkel and another online source, but decided to have the duster and jerkin made locally by a custom leather clothier. (It turns out that she is a LOTR fan, and a Viggo fan too.)
I've done a lot of background research to provide her with pictures and details of both, (including many screen captures), the best place for info is the alleycatscratch.com site, they have pages just on Aragorns various outfits. Here is the page for the duster, http://alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Human/A ... Duster.htm
You'll see that there are many differences between the MR duster and the movie one: stitching, edge finishes, lacings, etc.
But, for that sale price, you can't go wrong! It just depends how accurate you want to be, and at what cost.
So far I've gotten a pair of the boots from Ring Styles Footwear, a Stansborough Fellowship cloak, the grey linen shirt and of course the UC Ranger sword/scabbard and knife, along with the now unavailable BbB sword belt, and a pair of vambraces on order from Kropserkel. Once I have more of the pieces together for my outfit, I'll either put some pictures in the gallery or post a link to them.

Thanks
