I was watching the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie before and the character of Irene Adler has this strange stick/dagger item. Unless I am mistaking she pulls the dagger from this stick that she slides from her sleeve in one scene where she is about to be mugged.

I was just wondering if any of you lot had any idea on what it is as I was hoping to replicate it or at least make an item similar to it.

I'd start buy looking into letter openers EG.

after some more research I have learned that the two are different items. The weapon that Irene Adler slides down her sleeve is called a Life preserver (http://www.bartitsu.org/index.php/the-b ... es-part-2/)

so that means that her dagger isn't pulled from inside that. She must just keep her dagger somewhere in her coat.
