I would recommend trying either the Metal Glo to help prevent the rust from spreading and if you want to remove it, you can try getting a Grey Scotch Brite Pad (model 7448). Gently take it and going with the grain of the sword, rub it slowly over rust and it might just work. Please be careful though, if you rub the cloth in the wrong direction, it will look as though you have scratched the blade. I have not tried this myself, but I will be in the near future as I have discovered a small about of rust on my Albion sword.

Another way to remove the fingerprints is to spray some windex onto a soft cloth and wipe the blade clean of all fingerprints. Just remember to wipe it dry afterwards.
